What To Expect

We love visitors at CrossPoint. Our congregation is made up, mostly, of people who were visitors themselves not all that long ago. When you show up to visit us, you can expect people who want you there. We are thankful to have new people worshipping with us, and will let you know with a handshake and a smile.

You can expect singing and music, as we worship our Savior. Some ask why we worship the way that we do. Here are the reasons:

We pray together out loud because...

In the Bible, we read "they lifted up their voice to God with one accord." Acts 4:24

We lift our hands in praise because...

In the Bible, we read "Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord." Psalms 134:2

We sing with all our hearts because...

In the Bible, we read "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth; make a loud noise and
rejoice and sing praise." Psalms 98:4

We play musical instruments because...

In the Bible, we read "And all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments."
     II Samuel 6:6

We clap and shout unto God because...

In the Bible, we read "O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with a voice of triump." Psalms          47:1

We dance before the Lord because...

In the Bible, we read "Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; praise him with stringed instruments and
     organs." Psalms 150:4

We anoint with oil for divine healing because...

In the Bible, we read "Is there any sick among you? Let him call upon the elders of the church; and
let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord." James 5:14

We allow the operation of the spiritual gifts because...

In the Bible, we read "When you come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a

tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation." I Corinthians 14:26

You can expect anointed preaching from a passionate Pastor who seeks to hear from God and deliver a timely and relevant message to move the hearers, as well as cause change and growth. We preach Biblically sound doctrine with a strong emphasis on leaving a life of sin, and striving to become what God has created us to be.

You can expect an altar call, where you will have the opportunity to come a pray, and be prayed for. We believe that every time we hear the Word, there should be a response. We believe that the altar is a place where lives are changed, and those that need something from God can receive it.

You can expect people from all different walks of life coming together for one common purpose, and that is to worship and magnify the Lord of all creation, and to draw closer to Him.

Please consider joining us for worship. We would love to see you here.
