Lead Pastor - Andrew C. Garvin

Pastor Garvin was called to preach at the age of 11, but at such a young age, was unsure of how to respond to his calling. He was given an opportunity to preach at the age of 13, and begin to work in the church in the areas of children's ministry and youth ministry. At the age of 17, he took over the youth department, and began teaching and preaching on a regular basis. That same year, Pastor Garvin was licensed as a minister of the United Pentecostal Church International. At the age of 19, he married the love of his life, Danielle, and together, they continued in ministry. In 2007, Pastor and Sister Garvin began working in the Youth Ministry of Sidell Assembly UPC, and became Youth Pastors there. In 2013, they accepted the call of God to plant a new church in Paris, IL. On October 12, 2013,

CrossPoint held a dedication service, and the church was born. Since that time, many have come and been touched by the power of God in the church. Pastor and Sister Garvin have a vision and a passion for Paris, IL, and have every intention of remaining here unless God sees fit to call them elsewhere. They both enjoy music, spending time with family, and making new connections. Sister Garvin also is the Minister of Music, and teaches our children's Sunday School class. They have 2 daughters, Tenley and Macee, who love the church and the work of the Kingdom.

Assistant To The Pastor & National Children's Evangelist - Phil Wagoner

Rev. Phil Wagoner has been in ministry, in some aspect, for most of his life. He is currently a full-time Children's Evangelist, travelling all over the country leading children's revivals, crusades, and camps. He is very involved in teacher training as well, teaching others how to effectively minister to children in the church. His evangelistic ministry does not stop with children, however, as many adults and families as a whole have been moved by the crusades, and have taken real steps toward God. When he is available, Rev. Wagoner helps lead CrossPoint through teaching and preaching. He is involved in our music department and the leading of worship. He is a lifelong resident of Paris, IL along with his wife Sherri. His burden for the city runs deep, and he is involved in our outreach and special events. He holds a couple of Children's Crusades for us each year and many are impacted because of it. CrossPoint is blessed to have him working and laboring with us.
